Family Law Court Matters
Simone has been working in the field of family and domestic violence and coercive control for many years. She has worked mostly with victims, and possesses a strong understanding of perpetrator behaviour, which allows her to accurately assess risk. She utilises her specialisation in coercive control to educate other professionals about this insidious behaviour and how to identify it.
Given coercive control is covert in nature, it is essential that psychologists are skilled in identifying when a client presents with indicators of being coercively controlled.
Simone works to educate her clients, assisting them to become stronger and more resilient to eventually break free from the control if they choose to, in the safest possible way. Simone is able to guide clients through post separation abuse and navigating the family law system.
Coercive Control & FDV
Simone Jeavons provides a range of services acting as a Single Expert Witness and a treating psychologist. Her services can be engaged to write Family Reports, Child Impact Reports and if you are a client of Simones’, a Treatment Report. She has experience both within the Family Law Court of Western Australia and the Family Law Court in Queensland.
Simone takes an unbiased and investigative approach to assessments in the family law system, working to understand the previous history of the relationship, the impact of it on the children in addition to the current circumstances, to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and parents.
Simone's extensive experience with and understanding of coercive control, family and domestic violence, allegations of child abuse and alcohol use issues, enables her to look at the family system through a unique lens that takes into consideration the impact on the protective parent and the children.

Who we are
Simone Jeavons is a registered Psychologist with over 20 years experience. She takes a relationship based approach to working with her clients, guiding them to the outcomes they seek. While trained in many modalities, she adapts her approach for each client. Simone is direct and takes a solution focused approach, working with her clients to problem solve presenting issues but also doing a deep dive to identify the root cause of the problem. Simone then works to up-skill her clients to become their own therapist.
